Our Presenter

Sarah Calvert, PhD has been working for the New Zealand Family Court since its inception in the 1980’s. She has also worked for  Oranga Tamariki, New Zealand statutory welfare agency as well as being a researcher in the area of child development and other issues directly related to Family Courts and their work. In 2018 she was made a Distinguished Scholar of Waikato University.  Sarah also works in the specialised area of trauma and its effects on individuals and families. Sarah currently co-convenes the only national Family Court organisational structure in New Zealand. She is also an AFCC  accredited trainer and has presented internationally about Family Court issues.
